Composing with Styles and Genres

Hello all, I am interested in corresponding with other composers who engage in composing with styles and genres. THis is the subject of my doctoral study where I differentiate between poly-stylism which is a common enough occurence, and poly genre music that gives two or more genre SIGNALS in the music. I am also looking at how the composer is both product of global cosmospolitan society (emerging) and a contributor to heritage. My new compositions demonstrate the practice that becomes a field of study with a new taxonomy etc. I'd love to see if anyone else is doing anything academic or creatively along these lines.
