Arthur Rubinstein - Beethoven Piano Concerto no.5, "emperor"

There are some recordings that amaze me.
Usually I would not choose a Rubinstein performance for a Beethoven piece-don't get me wrong, I love Rubinstein. When he plays Chopin. He has that "over-romantic" touch and aesthetic that I think does not fit to Beethoven.

But this recording is a whole other story.

I'm glad you enjoyed it Johan.

There is also Arrau's performance on youtube. He is very very old and has some mistakes here and there, but still, it's pretty awsome.

Fantastic, I had never heard this performance. It´s like hearing a new piece!

Thanks a lot for posting this!
