Need advice!
Hey Folks,
Can anyone tell what is causing the annoying "ping" sound in the middle of my comp "Adagio for Strings?" I tried re-recording, cutting out that part of the wave, blocking out the high frequencies, nothing worked. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

The ping happens at 0:42.
I think I know what the problem is with the instruments dropping out, I've been trying to mix on Finale, in this case, I added fermatas on quarter notes rather than extended their values. I've gotten into trouble with this in the past when I've added articulations on Finale that didn't translate over to Sonar. Moral of the story, no more mixing on Finale!

Comment by Chris Merritt on August 15, 2007 at 4:16pm - At around 1:13, there is a problem with the samples dropping out. It could be a noise gate. Or it could be where you tried cutting out the ping. I would have to hear the ping to be able to tell what it is.

- Can you be specific? At what time exactly does the ping happen?
