All music should exist with images - discuss! Certainly many pop tracks are released with a music video, and much of the business of making music takes place in relation to visual media - tv, video and film.
Cohen and Bollow iLife08, Apple Training Series 2008, suggest:
"An interesting irony of film and video is that roughly 50% of what you see comes through your ears." In other words, sound is more influential in our experience of visual media that we might expect.
Of course, making a glossy video is a whole load of extra creative and technical effort, but you can use still images (photos) to make a video slideshow as a simple first step into music and video.
I'm going to show you a couple of ways to do this that I have found. If you know other ways to do this, please add your knowledge to the discussion.
My methods use either the Mac programme - iMovie 08 or a web-based service - OneTrueMedia.com.
First step for both of these is to sort out your assets. Assets means the components you'll use - the digital photos and the audio track, so make sure these are accessible.
