I'm not a composer...

I just play one on tv. Okay that's not true either. I do play around with TV. I'm married to Chris who started this network and he said I could be in it. I'm actually a producer for HGTV and that's how we met. I am the self-appointed head of marketing for Merritt Music Productions however. So any advice on how to get the word out that my husband is freakishly talented is welcome. Other than the traditional demo mailer of course. The question of the day is for the self-employed, the freelancer, the lone wolf music guru, the maker of musics:

Well all i know is to hang ata studios and network with the folks that do the work or buy the work you do and hopefully make a good impression, but those are obvious. Since I teach and perform in any way possible, and have a church job, I make a regular living. If i had to depend on composing arranging, songwriting, in other words the creative stuff, for a living in my geographic area - i would have been dead long ago. I get to do just enough to keep my chops functioning, not growing, just functioning lol.

I could tell ya but then... well then i'd have to perma-superglue on some mittens on your hands so you couldnt take my ideas and type them in your keyboard! hehe OK well really I have no ideas, just doing same as you guys, seemingly somewhat less successfully :) Hey need any alternate composers for HGTV? haha!
