Symphony Nr. 2 - 3rd Movement

Sensu Communi

An atonal piece inspired by Schoenbergs 12 tone method. For simplicity most of the piece is in 12/8th rythm.

Three solo woodwinds and lots of percussion.

Playing on the "common sense" as something vague and an idea fractured by personal/egoistic views of the matter.

In that chaotic forum of thoughts it is forgotten that the only good is what leads to the good of everyone without letting anyone suffer on the way there. A truth that cuts… Continue

Symphony Nr. 2

Conscientia

I was working on a piece not really meant for anything but itself. It started to take structure and I created a collective mass from the notes being rendered out of pure imagination.

It was an orchestral work but it didn't fit with the picture of the three finished pieces of my first symphony. Instead of being figurative, it was more about the light and darkness of the notes. It was not impressionistic because it wasn't purely texture based like Debussy's… Continue

LC 2nd Movement

I've now completed the 2nd movement for my first symphony.
It's a 9 minute long work for orchestra and organ. With solo violin and solo flute.

Technical problems

Due to technical problems (probably mp3 compression settings), I deleted all my uploaded pieces. When playing my pieces in IE there's a loud white noise. Reported this to Merrit but haven't got an answer yet. With this I will upload some new pieces (Leningrad Clarinet 2 and 3) and perhaps skip some older pieces.

Edit: The error was indeed in compression: By standard I export in highest bitrate and khz for mp3 which in cubase is 320 kbit/s and 48 khz. I've had some previous… Continue

The Leningrad Clarinet - 2nd Movement

This is on it's way up. I've composed over 6 minutes already. It's still missing an ending and the percussion section. The tempo in general is largo with some variation. I've also decided to include an organ in the latter part of the piece since it fits the mood of the movement. For this I used the PMI Barouque Organ and intergrated it with the EWQL samples using Altiverb.

The piece is practically based on simple melodies tied to more complex harmonies with some interesting rythmical… Continue

Autumn Fantasies

I've added three newly written fantasies, with the theme autumn.

The first one is arranged for oboe and a harp whilst the other for english horn and organ.

The first fantasie, called "What I saw today" is a scenic description in music.

What I saw was thousands of leaves falling of the trees outside my window and blowing of in a storm.

Dark clouds blew in over the lake nearby and the waves battered against the beach.

The "Autumn Scenes" fantasie is inspired… Continue

Definition of Contradiction

Short piece where I tried to use as much of EWQL as possible without my (2gb RAM) computer going up in flames.
Which it almost did.

The piece is quite filmic and it's not part of any suite or any other of my concertos.

Enjoy

The Leningrad Clarinet

I've had this piece up already, but without percussions and bassline, so I uploaded this finished version now with all instruments.

The story behind this is a journey I made to Minsk in Belarus. I stayed there for a month with my girlfriend who's from Minsk. When I was making this piece I thought about things I had witnessed there, old people thrown out on the street due to the lack of pension in this country. One selling her shoes to afford food.

Belarus is probably the only nation,… Continue

Opera piece - Funeral Mass

This is as I pointed out, not a true funeral mass but a piece for a opera I'm working with.

This piece takes place at the funeral of the character Corzdor and angels sing out their grief and try to comfort his friends as they give his spirit to the gods.

I made this with symphonic choirs and symphonic orchestra by EWQL.

In the holy mists of the Moonshine Cathedral

Corzdor the Brave will forever rest

Corpus Angelus

In the celestial skies, he…

Aethereus Gloriae

First of all, excuse me for my horrible latin! I hope I made a text that doesn't have a million grammatical errors. But if there are, please tell me. I'm talking about a choralpiece I recently uploaded, it's actually not a real choralpiece but a part of an opera I'm working with.

In the opera the major god is an entity called The Blind Angel, or The Blindfolded Angel. This piece is thought to occur in a cathedral setting. Although, that's only a thought.

I made it with EWQL's… Continue

Piano and Clarinet fusion

I've uploaded a five minute improvisation of me playing piano, and then playing clarinet on that.
Sadly I'm no pro in recording so it's a bit of digital distortion, but the message came through.
Have never done a improv-recording like this before.

Enjoy
