This is my first ever blog.
I have been trained in music for 10 years now. I started by playing the Bb trumpet from 5th grade up through high school. I have been composing music for three years now, though it has only been recently that I have been publishing with full rights to my work. Ok, so I was doing some research on the Stan Kenton recording of "City of Glass." The piece takes a rather dark look at New York City. While doing my reseach, I came across a piece by Aaron Copland called "Music for a Great City." Have you heard it? I am sorry to say that after studying Copland for almost 20 years, I had not even heard of this piece.

At this time, one term appears more and more strongly in my consciousness - the term "museum music".
