ProjectSAM Orchestral Brass

ProjectSAM has heaps of lovely virtual instruments. I currently own ProjectSAM Orchestral Brass and I'll have to admit that the sound quality of the brass instruments are superb ! Holywood quality, I'll say ! So far it's the best Orchestral Brass sounds that I've heard. Sounds realistic! For all your digital composers out there, make sure you do a research on this product. Listen to the demo and judge the quality yourself. Another good deal about this product is it's Kontakt based. =)

Grains of Sand on an Imaginery Beach

Grains of Sand on an Imaginary Beach

I have been recently contemplating an interesting theory that has been presented to me, resulting in a chain of after-thoughts leading to this thesis. I will firstly explain this theory, then continue through the series of after-thoughts which lead to my final observation.

During a recent debate, it was suggested that as space is thought to be infinite, there may theoretically be an infinite number of planets. With an infinite number of… Continue

03 December 2009

Well, it has been a few months since my last update, so there have been a lot of changes during this time!

The projects on the previous post have been postponed, due to shorter deadlines on other items. Inplace of these, I have been working on a series of works for small ensemble, and a string quartet; both of which are being written for concert.

The ensemble piece is being performed by the Rednote Ensemble in Edinburgh, and consists of Square 'Cello, Toy Piano, Sleigh Bells,… Continue
