My second Novel is being published in December!

My 2nd novel will be released in December. I am quite excited about it. It is very political and will likely do better in the "blue" states than the "red" states. The book will have a suggested retail of $13.95 and will be distributed by Ingrams. It will be availble to order at all major bookstores (getting it on the shelves is another thing when you are trying to get established) and online at all major bookstores. I will be selling autographed copies on my website for $10 plus shipping at… Continue

Our next concert ... at the IV festival internacional de musica Carlemo Bernaola - Vitoria - Espana - 20h15 - Conservatorio de Música Jesús Guridi - Aula Magna

Continue

Spirits Of The Dead duo improvisation

Tuesday Oct. 30, the Nashville Composer's Association hosted an opportunity

on our local NPR/classical station for a few of us to freely improvise music

inspired by poems from Poe, Dickinson & Rilke about the macabre ('tis the season and all). What you'll

hear is literally being made up on the spot - no music, no prior communication.

Nothing but the poem's influence and us listening to each other. Lance, Tracey,

Pat, Rod & I were truly working without a… Continue

Kontakt 3, etc.

How is everyone doing today? I imagine everyone is starting to fast, in preparation for Thanksgiving's stuffing, self-stuffing.

I received an upgrade to Kontakt 3 a few days ago. Sounded terrible,

but then I figured out the 'buffer size' was set a little too 'fast'

and now it sounds great. (after going through every conceivable system

option within Windows, Sonar, and MOTU's 828. I then spent a couple of

hours playing K3's various samples. ..Who can get pleasure… Continue

New music - a tango (in the classic style)!

Wrote 'La última llamada' for Tango Nashville, a great 501c3 here in Nashville
that promotes tango dancing and Argentinian culture. It was definitely a stretch;
I'm used to having drums as a crutch for the beat, and I know subtlety is not my
strong suit.... still, I hope you enjoy it - Diana & MariaPia from Tango Nashville
have told me they love it - it will be featured at their big September event!

it's No. 2 on my playlist, to the left.....

Just wanted to spread the message, that I put my new "blogsite" online.

It is neither a pure blog nor a pure website, so just check it out at

I definitely don't want to keep people away from the Composer's forum, but I think it's worth checking out once in a while, because I will have a lot of media to check out and also a few written posts about vsti's, plugs and general music & computer related stuff which might be… Continue

The Film Music Chord Change

Yep, that's a bold title no doubt about it. I apologise upfront to all the composers who will find this very basic stuff but this was a real discovery for me.

I've been writing rock and pop music for many years now. I've been a fan of film music for far longer... probably dating back to the first time I saw Star Wars.

Anyway, 2 years ago I was sitting at the keyboard and playing around on a strings patch when I suddenly played a chord change that I'd just never really focused…
