The great and prolific composer, known mostly for Animal House (remember all that academic-sounding music?). A wonderful composer who could write in any style. Here's a sample from "Stripes," a Bill Murray comedy from the 80s.

I will post something I worked on a little last week. Is an attempt on a Orchestral song.
I am quite happy with it, But I reckon is many things that could be done to make it even better.
I was first and formost making the song to a friend, that needed a theme to a game he is making. So I tried to build it up slowly!
I am using Reason to create the arrangement and using orchestral soundbank. I use Record to record my voice. Hence the vocal bit.

This is an attempt on a instrumental song.. I wanted to make it very atmospheric and relaxing. So one can have it on as background music
I did played around with different sounds. It might be to boring? Or perhaps the music sounds makes it messy.. Not sure..

Pianist Anatoli Vedernikov. I happened to buy a vinyl of him playing mozart, Haydn and Schumann. Soviet musician, the record printed in the USSR in 1987 (I think?). Excellent condition, very high quality recording and a very clear, precise style, it is classical yet has some emotional touches to it, keeping a very good balance, everything Mozart needs and I admit, his sonata no. 11 did make a good impression on me (it's one of those sonatas by mozart that i actually like, lol). Some months ago I had gone for a walk to the junk shops downtown. Among other things, those places are pure heaven for getting vinyl records. So while browsing through, I stumble upon this 21 record colection of Beethoven's piano works (all of them), played by no other than the mighty Alfred Brendel. "How much", I ask. "1 euro each.
