Music Composers Unite!
Youtube has a lot of composer-users, and i do my best to try and find them(There's so many videos!)
About 2 years ago, a composer-user called Stravinsky91 put together a compilation video about the composers of youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVhFSx8Ax3g
He did this 2 more times, and they were a success.
Using his idea as my foundation, i did a new one here: …Continue
Today I have completed a piece for piano.
"Riverhead Plateau" from "23 Preludes for Piano".
I've tried to close to impressionism.
Is it vague or opaque work?
Would it too…Continue
My violin solo piece "Seiren" was played by Mr. Tadashi Maeda, violinist in Ecuador, at April, 2012.
I do appreciate his choice my music at his recital.
Hello - I listen to just about everything posted here. I can understand your music better if you provide a score along with it. Thanks to those who can do this!

I've got a series of seven piano preludes to be published by a publisher in Europe, probably this fall. The contract has been mailed out and I'm looking forward to seeing them 'out there'. More details will be forthcoming.
International Festival of guitarists
Many young talented guitarists played complex riffs, virtuoso party. There were a lot of journalists and photographers in search of young talents. Suddenly, they saw an old man who sits in the corner and played on one string, tynts-tynts. Everyone laughed at the old man.
-What are you doing? it's an international festival of the best musicians! See how they play, - one journalist asked pointing at guitarists who briefly played on the…

I play with an amateur orchestra, they asked me to arrange "True Colors" by Cindy Lauper. Not the best subject for string orchestra, but I'm happy with results. We've rehearsed it twice, I simplified it a bit, we will perform it sometime in June! I will upload an mp3 in a few minutes.
I have been composing piano music for many years using Finale notation program. I love the orchestra and wanted to compose for it, but was unsure of having scores performed and being able to hear it. I recently listened to movements of Beethoven Symphonies played by the Fauxharmonic Orchestra. They have a web site and will play scores using their advanced techniques. It is a commercial enterprise.
I have begun to try to write orchestral scores with Finale and played…Continue

It was October 2009 when I began working on the first movement of this symphony. The other parts were roughly sketched in the following weeks and months. Early 2010 I was able to set out the entire structure of the symphony, based on the material I had by that time. From the early days of this work, it was clear to me its layout would be unconventional, simply because the whole symphony would be composed of not less than 7 distinct movements.…Continue

This is a blow by blow dissection of John Winsor's book "Breaking the Sound Barrier", which can be found on his webpage. The blurb on the cover claims: "An award winning composer refutes postmodern cultural relativism by proving that some musical works are objectively better than others." Quite a claim, and by an award winning composer no doubt, so get ready! In all seriousness, if one is to make such a claim, one's reasoning had better be fool proof and any awards you may have won are…Continue
Ah....the joy of actually having time to REALLY listen to something great! Today was the ever amazing Mr. Bartok and his Concerto for Orchestra. On top of that, the Philadelphia Orchestra to boot! Just intense and great moments to be heard.
What can be said about Bela Bartok that has not already been said. The man did so much for music. People either HATE him or LOVE him. I happen to be of the latter opinion. I think that he is on the level with that of Beethoven and…Continue
