Profile Information

What have you composed for? Or what medium do you work around?
film, television, multimedia, Songs, Other
What is your favorite genre or style of music?
It depends on what day it is.
Is music your main income source?
Yes!
Where do you live?
Manhattan, NY
About Me:
A proud native New Yorker. Sang as a choir boy at Philharmonic Hall among other venues with Leonard Bernstein, Thomas Schippers and Noah Greenberg (a kewpie doll who knows the last two:-). Went to Sarah Lawrence College. Had a brief flirtation with a record deal. Played in a few Broadway shows. Helped write some long form infomercials when you could make money on them. Quit the Biz for ten years and have been inching my way back for the past three years. Am a member of the Manhattan Producers Alliance http://www.manhatpro.com/ which has helped me greatly. Just glad to be able to make music, as corny as that may sound (and it does to me...)

Tough Times and Video Games

So work has been scarce lately and I've been trying to reinvent myself... again. I've decided to go into business with my friend Michael Worth who is an excellent composer and orchestrator. I am trying to get him to join up here. We have been researching and writing music for the video game market. It certainly is as competetive as other areas but the people seem to be less jaded and the whole vibe is just not as smarmy as the TV/Film industry. I'm sure my heart will be broken just the same:-) b… Continue

New Songs

I've added two new tunes to my list. "Morning Amor" is a cue that was done for Good Morning America that I thought achieved a nice laid back quality.

The song "Meant To Be Mine" has an interesting back story. I'm a member of a New York based group called The Manhattan Producer's Alliance (go to: http://www.manhatpro.com/ for more info on it) and we were recently approached by eSession ( http://www,esession.com ) to try out their service within the MPA community. eSession is a web based service… Continue

Hi Dan
Enjoyed listening to your stuff here.
Nearly missed #6 as #5 took me margaritaville with Jimmy Buffett :-)

Hi, Dan. Thanks for adding me. Your music sounds great. As much as I love to listen to and write classical music, I still have rock and roll in my blood. The songs are well arranged and recorded! Sweet guitar sounds.

Yo Dan:

Best version of "Lil Drummer Boy" I ever heard!
You actually forced me to like that tune for a few minutes! :)

singing with the phil under lenny must have been cool. did you ever do the chichester psalms with him?

Hey Dan! Glad you made it! Check out the groups. The New Yakkers seem to be banding together for some kind of revolt...
