About Me:
[I make music, you might like it.]
I'm 24 and I've been into music for as long as I can remember. My first real experience playing and performing music was in my 6th grade band class. I played the trumpet (which I have since sold and kick myself for to this day.) I started playing guitar in 7th grade and have played ever since which makes it around 12 years now. I am self-taught, and will admit that I'm fairly good at it.
At this point in my life I've taught myself to play the drums, piano, and the turntables...I seem to be a natural musician and can usually pick up any instrument and make it sound half-way decent within 10 minutes. I guess I've just got an ear for it.
I've put together a studio of sorts in my house which includes a keyboard/midi controller, electric drum kit, acoustic and electric guitars, a 4 channel mixer, and some turntables. I try not to limit myself in terms of writing or recording but my studio setup definitely is not professional, but I make it work the best I know how being completely self taught in every aspect of it. I use a program called "Reason" with a bunch of misc. sound banks and I also use a program to record live instruments called "Nuendo".
I'll probably only be putting my orchestral/piano type of arrangements on this site, if you'd like to hear my other projects I'll provide links to their myspace pages below.
As far as my composing catalogue goes -- I'm at a starting process and will upload them here as they're finished. My style seems to be pretty simple and mostly piano driven up to this point. I don't want to clutter the tracks or try to be something I'm not. I'm just trying to come up with some pretty/depressing tracks or anything inbetween. I think it would be great to be a composer for movies or video games...the ultimate goal really being any career revolving around music...whether it be a guitarist for a band, a songwriter, a studio musician...anything.
Now for my music links:
Let me just say that I generally don't like myspace too much, but it's a good way to upload a lot of songs...So I deal. Let me also say that the recording quality is subject to my studio which is not perfect as stated above...so, ya know...be easy...I like to think they sound like really good demos at the very least.
Esoteric Romance - This is a project I started with a girl who's poems I heard online...I really liked her voice and decided to try to work something out with her. Her vocal recordings aren't the best but I mixed the best I could....after all, I've never even met the girl face to face but tried to collaborate with her anyways, and I think it turned out decent. Most of the songs are just me but there's a couple with her involved. Its more electronic/vocal based...
Project Iso - This is an acoustic project. Sometimes I write guitar riffs that I don't want to add things to and just leave them by themselves, there's a couple songs on this site of just guitar and vocals.
achildbyfire beats - This is a page I made for my hiphop/rap beats. I haven't made them in a while now, but some of them are decent and my friends and I get a kick out of them.

hoping... we can be friends.
hoping... I really enjoyed this piece. It would be great for film. I would like to hear it with a gentle foreground instrument/melody, maybe a fr horn or clarinet, flute...
