In november 2012 medical students from Ljubljana gathered to help raising money for those in need. For that event they asked me to write an arrangement for two of Michael Jackson's brilliant songs-Heal the World and Eath Song for the whole ensable they had. You can view and listen to the final product at these two links: pt1 (Heal the Wold-starts at the beginning ) or at 2:38 and …See More

"Ram is cheap. There is no reason to not have plenty of it. 8gbs is the norm in new pc rigs sold here, I'm guessing that in a year from now that will become 16gbs.   "

"Ursula, you don't need that much RAM... I am use sometimes my old, ancient computer (512mb RAM, 1.4 AMD Athlon processor)and Sibelius 6 works really fine on it. I don't have any problem even on that configuration... Cubase is much more…"

"Indeed, either will do the job. Macs at the school where I work have gotten viruses. I know programers who work for big international banks and the like. For them it's not Mac or PC. It's Linux."

"If you go the Mac route, be prepared to spend 2 to 3 times the price of  a PC. And some models no longer have a CD/DVD drive. Yes, CDs nd DVDs are on the way out, but I think Mac has jumped the gun on this one. True, the lack of an optical…"

"If you decide on a MacbookPro, get it from Apple. You won't find it cheaper anywhere else. You can go to the online store and customise with extra ram etc. They are however much more expensive than PCs. I bought mine online...no problems!"

Ok, if you haven't seen this on youtube yet, you really have to! Plus, you get to refresh your memory on how music developed through time etc. You have to watch+listen to it! I think this guy rocks, the way he draw all those pictures. Of course there are so many more composers he could mention, but I think he did a rather good job. What do you think?

Music Joke

I don't know if you've heard of this one, but during a music analysis class today my friend read it and I have to share it. How funny do you find this joke?

A 'C', an E-flat, and a 'G' go into a bar. The bartender says: "Sorry, but we don't serve minors." So, the E-flat leaves, and the C and the G have an open fifth between them.
