About Me:
This is more or less just a hobby for me. Trying to learn more on music theory bit by bit. Right now, not too much on here -- deleted the older stuff until I rework it. Thanks for checking it out!
Your comment caught my attention: "...it gives me an idea of what other people do."
Many years ago a famous composer wrote, "I have carefully avoided hearing anyone else's music, so that I could be assured that my music was completely original and not influenced in any way by other people's compositions. "
I felt, then, and still feel that he was wrong.
I am glad you do not share his fear of enjoying what others are writing and the direction music is taking.
Music flows from our hearts and souls and to enjoy and share another's beauty is a lovely thing to do!
Thanks a lot for your comment and your encouraging words. It's always good to hear someone likes what I make! Hey, I'll be back to hear your stuff soon. Thanks again!
In fact,I don't really care about the recording. Since it is a composition intented to be performed by someone live, having a recording helps only to spread it (like posting it here),not so much enjoy it. but giving you the sense of an old, lost composision from one of the great composers,is enough for me :P :p
Hey Troy, thanks for the comment, I do take a lot of inspiration from Legend of Zelda music, so you were right on. I don't have time right now to listen to your tracks, but I will in the next couple of days. Thanks for the encouragement!
Hi Troy,
Thanks for your comment on my track. I'm not familiar with the Glass piece you mentioned, but I will try to track it down. I was actually inspired by some music of Max Richter.
I haven't been on this site for a while, but aim to catch up with everybody in the coming weeks, and get listening and writing.
Thanks for listening to my music! I greatly appreciate your comments and it's great to know that my music is helping to inspire. What more could a composer ask for? Thanks again!
