"Hi, since the feedback to this piece was so overwhelmingly positive I share the revised version. I did not change much harmony or melody but broke up the structure, which was more like a loop. It is still a loop but in a more inctricate way. Thus…"

"Julie, I just wrote something today that feels very stolen from Messaien (this sort of harmony anyway), but in a different context.  I think you posting this a few weeks back had it simmering in my brain...  Thanks!"

Timo Schuemer replied to John Driscoll's discussion "Last Days" (2018)
"Hi John, I absolutely enjoy this, the music is like floating in an infinite space. Subtle, flickering and shimmering textures and harmonic changes like at 7:00, just perfect, soothing and gentle. I like this kind of music in general, don’t…"

About Me (Must include at least one paragraph of biographical information about you as a composer) - blank or minimal answers on this line will cause your request to be rejected. Include a link to your website if you have one.
I am an amateur musician and composer (complete autodidact). I started to get a little bit more serious about composition in 2016 and made some nice progress in my opinion.

However, I still consider myself more an admirer of composers, respectively their music, than a composer myself. I also play piano and guitar and produce(d) electronic music of various genres on a non professional level.

My favourite composers are:
Mahler
Rachmaninoff
Wagner
Bruckner
Stravinsky
Debussy
Ravel
Berlioz
John & Ralph Vaughan Williams
Tschaikowsky
Holst
Stjepan Šulek
Albéric Magnard

Agreed, I have my irons in the fire, some days music must take a back seat to art, which it seems it has done my entire life. Now that I'm retired, I can devote more time to it. Cheers to you in Germany, Timo!
