- About Me:
- I compose both acoustic and electroacoustic music. I (usually) don't compose performerless music--I write for performers as well as for audience. The roles of composer, performer, and audience are something I have not explored to my my satisfaction, nor, I suspect, will I ever. Much of my music has interactive elements as well. All of my music with electronic processing requires live interaction with whatever programming I have developed for the piece, and many pieces require interaction on the part of the performers, and sometimes the audience.
I teach music composition, theory, and technology at a university where I am an associate professor. I am married with two children.
