Dom,
I just posted 6 new songs I wrote because I just got Mp-3's of them to put up here. Give a listen and tell me what you think. I enjoy songwriting but don't get to do it often - here is the best of my work in this genre! ENJOY
DP, Oy! What a question about HGTV. First, we have staff composers. Chris (the one who started this forum) used to be one. And Scripps, which owns HGTV, Food Network, DIY, GAC, and Fine Living networks, owns all the music they do outright. As far as the libraries, the former manager of the music department joined the legal department in order to handle only the music library liscensing and cue sheets, etc. It's a sore subject with a lot of composers including our own. But it's a full time job in a town not known for production normally. Chris can give you more insight than I can but he's had discussions for years with the FM Pro group. I hope that helps.
Hi Dominique, I spent several years in Austin. Definitely one of my favorite cities. I just moved from there a few weeks ago to come to LA. Hope all is well.
Hi Dominique,
I thought we had. How's things in Texas? A funny thing not related to the site. I keep getting calls from a Plano, TX phone # that At&t says is disconnected... Twilight Zone. I always loved that theme song.
Take care and see ya around on the site.
What have you composed for? Or what medium do you work around?
film, television
Is music your main income source?
Yes!
Where do you live?
Round Rock/Austin, TX
About Me:
I am a Music Supervisor. I'm here to keep up with composers so I can be aware of who's looking for work, the different styles, learn more about the composer world.
I am a full time Music Supervisor. I usually have four or five films going at the same time. When I'm looking for a composer for my next film, I will definitely look here first.
