I would love to have some critiques of this composition as this was the first time I've written music to accompany a visual medium. (Slide show of my sister in laws wedding in Italy.)  I will upload the video and audio together someday soon, but for…Continue

"Beautiful music.  I'm not very well versed into using percussion yet but admire those that can accomplish what you did with week 1.  The piece is is very melodic, flowing and energetic.  Isole reminds me of Aaron Coplands writing…"

I have always had a passion for songs and music that invoke strong emotions and paint a unique audible landscape. The idea that in our western culture so many different musical ideas come from just a twelve note chromatic scale, often of which only seven notes are used, has always fascinated me and is the foundation of my musical creativity. All of my compositions are written in midi, using Cubase 5 as my platform and Halion and Halion Symphonic as my soundfonts. I would love critiques on any of the pieces as I'm an aspiring composer who has a limited, but developing knowledge of how to write fully developed compositions.

Hi Ryan

I've listened through your playlist and found a lot of interesting music. Overture in Orvieto is my favorite. I'm an old Cubase dude myself. I started with Pro24 which later became the first Cubase version. Now I'm using Garageband, on my way to Logic. But Garageband is still better than my old, old, old version of Cubase.

Keep up the good work!
