Hello everyone,Wanted to share my most recent track and final piece of my album. With this I was going for a strong but intimate atmospheric feel. Hopefully I pulled it off. I had a surprisingly…Continue

"I've reworked the string intro to this a couple of times and think I'm finally ok with it. I've also considered ditching it entirely. If anyone has any specific feedback there that'd be awesome. "

"Lawrence - This was at the top of an extremely popular hiking trail outside Seattle, WA called Rattlesnake Ledge. Marco - Thank you! I see what you're saying regarding reverb. The video was color graded but I'm genuinely curious what you…"

Marco Di Stefano replied to Robert Fisher's discussion Fjall - Music Video
"Very nice work Robert, I enjoyed the video and music. Since I am a perfectionist let me add a few things I would have added on the production, not on the composition which I find very pleasant. The sound of the piano sounds too close to me, which is…"

Lawrence Aurich replied to Robert Fisher's discussion Fjall - Music Video
"What mountains are you surrounded by?   Finger syncing, must be a new recording term.  It is excusable since the peaks are covered with snow, so playing piano in near freezing temps can't be that easy.  I liked the piece and…"

"Kjell, thank you! The audio recording was already done so I was playing along much as would happen in a typical music video. The pianist version of lip syncing basically.  John - thank you for the feedback. I had considered doing what you…"

John Driscoll replied to Robert Fisher's discussion Fjall - Music Video
"This is a cool video and I like the piece.  One suggestion would be to add some ambient nature/outdoor sound effects, at least at the beginning of the video, to set the audience in the location before you start playing.  The visuals are…"

Kjell Prytz replied to Robert Fisher's discussion Fjall - Music Video
"What an artwork. I enjoyed every moment of it, being a nature lover myself. Congrats to you. I am curious about how it was produced. I can't see any recording equipment in the movie although your playing is remarkably synchronous which is…"

Keith J Hampton replied to Robert Fisher's discussion Umbra
"Nice work!  Deceptively simply melody which gives way to a more layered build. I like the addition of the vocal tracks toward the end (were those real humans?) and thought it helped bring the piece into more emotive territory than just…"

I had a surprisingly tricky time with the mix so if you have any suggestions for that I'd be especially interested to hear it. Thanks in advance!Umbra-RobertSee More

Robert Fisher replied to Leber's discussion Nocturne - G minor - Tractu Temporis - in progress
"Laszlo, I can certainly hear the Chopin influence in this though it is not enough to sound like you were trying to imitate him. It felt far more like a waltz than a nocturne to me, not only because of the 3/4 meter and left hand pattern but the…"

Robert Fisher replied to Keith J Hampton's discussion "Garden Seduction" - short, modern classical piece for piano.
"Keith, What jumped out at me right away was the recording/mixing/mastering side of things. The opening is extremely quiet and so with that I don't think the fade in accomplishes what you had hoped for. I think your music deserves devoting some…"

Robert Fisher replied to Olivér Kovács's discussion Dystopia
"Oliver, I would echo what Keith said especially regarding the bass. I felt like it just kept begging out to me to drop and get that full low end that would really expand the dynamic range of the track. Overall though I like the feel and could see it…"
