Actually, Chris.....the series of notes is C minor 7th, minor 9th. Can you hear what you see?

hmmm I would suggest that you clearly imply phrygian with C-Eb-G-Bb-Db! ;-)

About Me:
Composer living and working in Kansas City, Missouri. I started the company in October 2007. I opened an ecommerce site in late 2008 which offers the public custom-printed sheet music: both full scores in two sizes (miniature and full size) and performance bundles containing the full score with instrumental parts. I'm making use of the Scribd site to upload partial files containing a few pages of each score offered through the ecommerce site. I then embed the html code for the Scribd score extraction onto pages at my site. Site visitors can listen to the music and see the sheet music before making the decision to purchase.

I will be offering the three CD releases as the product becomes available!

    Hi!

Taking time to say a hello to the Forum! I've been listening to a lot of the wonderful music uploaded to the site. I have been working on editing instrumental parts and have the browser open listening to a Forum composer as I do the tedious, time-consuming work.

I use Windows Live Messenger and it is generally up and running while I'm sitting at the computer. The email address is: kcorchestrator-2@att.net . If the software is showing me as "Busy" please go ahead and send a message my way!… Continue

    Hi Richard,

Thank you for your kind words. The best part is you're not that far away. All the pieces on my page have been notated and I'd be happy to email the pdf of all Ten Pieces for Piano, plus I have other music as well. You can email me at schandlr(at)dwx.com. When I have some time I'll give your music a listen.

Thanks so much Richard! I was trying to emulate the 80's band "The Sundays" on Simple Things.

The spoken Chinese words in Miranda were spoken by a friend of mine who grew up in China. It was fun to record her speaking, but even more fascinating to discover that the natural rhythm of the words fit perfectly with the underlying rhythm of the song.

Thanks so much for your comments! I really appreciate it!!

Thanks, Sian will be pleased to hear that.
BTW, very nice use of Scribd to show the sheet music on your site, though the layout of your site itself is perhaps a bit too cluttered with logos - it took me a while to find the section with the music, as "composition I", "composition II" etc aren't evocative/enticing titles and next to all the logos, I had barely noticed them... I like that you use Audacity, I love that software too!

Thank you so much Richard, that really means a lot! A major confidence boost for me, who is new and just starting. My goal is to one day, maybe, write music for film just like you! :]
