Ray Reach is an accomplished pianist, vocalist, guitarist, arranger, composer, producer and educator.

From 1998 to 2005, he was Music Instructor at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and Director of the UAB Jazz Ensemble. He is currently (2005 to present) Director of Student Jazz Programs at the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame.

His arranging and production clients include: pianist Ellis Marsalis, saxophonist Lou Marini, trumpeter Lew Soloff, guitarist/vocalist Jonathan Butler, singer Chaka Kahn and the Lionel Hampton Orchestra, guitarist Eric Essix, the Night Flight Big Band, the SuperJazz Big Band, the Dallas Jazz Orchestra, noted classical choral composer K. Lee Scott and many others.

Mr. Reach's catalog of compositions includes an opera, numerous choral pieces, over 300 popular songs and four musical theater productions. His catalog of arrangements numbers almost 2,000 pieces.
