- I'm Ryland Lafferty, ostensibly, a composer. I am of Native-American decent, though I tend not to indulge in traditional aboriginal ideas musically -- unfortunately. I was never too fond of the simple drum patterns. I'm a fan of the romantic and modern periods' use of odd-meters and keys. There's nothing better than a fluid melody carried through an impossible to count measure!

Romantic: Saint-sans, Sibelius, Sarasete, Wagner, Chopin, Beethoven (late), Orff, Strauss, Grieg, Paganini, Tchaikovsky...
