Une ballade with melodies (just to keep myself writing)

Homage to bach

I love bach and this is my homage to him. Instead of trying to imitate his gorgeous fluid counterpoint, I went ahead and put my own spin on it by allowing the other voices (mostly found in the left…Continue

"Well written and very well played Osco, you can be proud of this.  Others have mentioned tempo changes and melodies and I don't disagree really but this all works pretty well I think especially for a first attempt at a difficult…"

My first piano sonata with video score

About the Music: Any work written for piano is very personal since I am a pianist and I primarily compose through improvisation at the keyboard. “Second Praise” is an experimental piece that focuses heavily on the minor second––it can be found in every transformation and section of the piece. My disorienting approach keeps the music active at all given moments and I tried to incorporate a variety of textures and register-use to always give a fresh spark of inspiration into each new…See More

Une ballade with melodies (just to keep myself writing)

Again going for the minimalist style, I tried to include a lot of different melodies in this ballad that create an overall sense of infinity and creativity. It's got a somber mood filled with little phrases here and there that although different from each, complete a larger whole. Thanks for listening, feedback is very much appreciated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5Dc1F50odgHope you guys are doing well!See More

Homage to bach

I love bach and this is my homage to him. Instead of trying to imitate his gorgeous fluid counterpoint, I went ahead and put my own spin on it by allowing the other voices (mostly found in the left hand) to shine and intrude as percussive "sound effects".
