- About Me:
- Violist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer, Michael-david Reisman has a strong interest in acoustic musical compositions from the Middle Ages through the Jazz age, and World Music as well. His compositions have been likened to a feast of dishes from many parts of the world. Though he usually writes for small ensembles of 1, 2 or 4 players recently he has written multi-part works for string orchestra.
He was the 2001 recipient of the Lloyd Taliaferro scholarship for music composition at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he completed his degree in Music Theory and Composition in 2002 (Magna cum Laude).
