Your Music is Still YOURS!

Three pieces of mine: I write a lot of fugues; here's #54, done with a few Korg M1 voices. Then, "Whitechief" named after a distant mine far up in Sequoia National Park we hiked years ago. Finally, M…

Finally uploaded another fugue:

Finally uploaded another fugue; needed to crank the older XP computer up because they (nearly 100 in all) are all on that computer along with my Cakewalk and Sonar software, which I’m just finding out now will not run on my new Windows 64-bit Vista laptop … Folks at TTS tell me I must therefore buy [yet another] newer version of the software.

duh … “Microsoft Works” … my favorite oxymoron ..

Anyhow, been sifting through my material … trying to pick out some pieces I can upload.

Yeah, I've seriously been considering switching to Mac. I hear Macs are better for what composers do in the first place, but I'm torn because I prefer the windows operating system. Maybe you could give Wondows 7 a try, I hear it's good.

Hey nice Fugue. I like it's energy. I am reminded of Holst when listening to it. I like how throughout you keep the prominent rhythmic motif going, but keep the harmonic movement interesting!

Nice counterpoint in your fugue! It's vibrant, effectively arranged in the entrances of the subject, texturally interesting, and all-around enjoyable to listen to. I tried my hand at fugal writing during my undergrad study (I hardly made a scratch in the art,) and only then did I come to appreciate it's high craft. You are a talented composer!

When you are on your page, you should see an area on the left side that says "my music" at the bottom of that box is a link that says "add music." Click that and it will take you to another screen to upload your music directly from your computer. I hope that helps. Let me know.

Hey Mike,

I liked you music. #54 was great and WhiteChief was really fun.

It really would be much easier for others to hear your music if you uploaded here on your page. If you need any help with that, I would be happy to assist. Have a great day. :)

Hi Michael,

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed #54. It really brought back the excitement of the Wendy Carlos days. Very well executed fugue. Please post some more of these.

Hows about a demo of some of your music here for us.
