Michael Forbes replied to Lennart Östman's discussion It's finished!
"Lennart... I am by no means classically trained, but your piece is delightful.  It evokes energy and happiness.  I enjoyed the different turns it took.  It held my interest.  You should be proud. Michael"

Michael Forbes replied to Jacqueline S. Boothe's discussion Critique a Short, Orchestral Piece
"Jacqueline... If you were trying to evoke a sense of foreboding and imminent danger, you nailed it!  Very impressive. I may have skipped the thunder at around :50 and gotten to the high energy part a bit sooner, but that's a minor…"

Michael Forbes replied to Antonio Freixas's discussion Recess, a piece for Wind Quintet
"Very nice, Antonio.  Lively, and holds interest.  However, I just don't connect it to children at recess.  For some reason (and this could be my warped mind working) I connect it to a solitary activity, such a chasing a…"

Dave Dexter replied to Michael Forbes's discussion Some technical assistance needed
"Was it recorded with the keyboard's onboard sounds as a wav file (so non-editable) or did you record it as midi into a DAW so you can re-assign voices or vsts to the notes and re-export? In either case, while I can't hear much wrong with…"

Good evening, my friends...Attached is a ballad I recently finished.  At about :02, you will hear an infuriating low-end hum...similar toa vibration.  It happened on any note south of middle "C."It was done on a Yamaha YPT-330 keyboard.  Critique of the piece is itself is more than welcome, but right now I'm focused on eliminating that infernal hum.  Any insight would be so appreciated. It's called "Through Time With You."Thank you!!!! All the best...MichaelSee More
