My name to friends is Matt. Great to meet you :)

I am a 35 year old guitarist/pianist and composer living in South East London England. I teach the guitar and the piano in schools (and privately) and perform classical guitar recitals around the uk, across Europe. I hope to return to the US next year, doing a mini tour of NH and Florida!

My music education

I studied as an undergraduate at The Guildhall School of Music and as a post graduate under Steve Goss at Surrey University, studying both guitar and composition. I was fortunate enough to attend master classes by the film composer Gabriel Yared and also the contemporary composer Nicholas Casken.
I studied orchestration subsequently with Baz Elmes and guitar under Martin Vishnick and Carlos Bonell gaining a Licentiates from LCM and The Royal School's of Music and recently a Fellowship from The London College of Music, (both in performance).

Other than music I am interested in the solar system, English and American literature, theology and watching football (soccer). My favourite tv show is Two and a Half Men - I love the character Charlie Harper :)
