I am an amateur composer. I don't ever expect to make money off my compositions, and I don't think many people even like my music besides me. I write what sounds good to my ear, but I still understand chord progressions and basic music theory. I would like to get better at composing music, but I don't have enough money right now to buy better composing software (I use Finale Notepad).
