Dear Laurent,
I came across your page through Ahmad Jawadi -- am listening to Canyon now. Very powerful and accomplished!
All my best to you and yours,
Karen Peace
Live musicians still make the music come to life don't they. I like your orchestration for Sentimental Score. The way the strings trail off and the subito pianos you place very deliberately. Nice chord structure and the melody has an ostinato feel to it that flows well with the movement of your chord structure.
Hello Laurent,
Very beautiful compositions you have. Elegant, and passive, Strong and compulsive. I hope that you would join me as my friend so that I may learn from you and most of all be my fellow composer and friend.
Thanks
Stephen
While I'm typing this, I'm listening to your "Sentimental score" -that is one beautiful haunting melody with a very nice muted string backdrop.
BTW: which libraries do you work for? I have a bunch of stuff in First Com /Zomba/ MCI ..whatever they call it these days ..and a few for KPM.
Thanks for your kind remarks about "Museum" . As you can probably tell, my two main influences for orchestral scoring are Bob Farnon and Claus Ogerman. ( you might also check out "Rain" on my page )
