thank you. nope, good ear there... it was not intentional, i think i had shifted it on accident during mix down. i was in a hurry to put the bones of this one up. i appreciate your feedback for sure.
so, here's a new work in progress. the bones are laid out, and i've done some basic balancing. the track is kinda shakey as it pops here and there on the 2nd verse. take this one for what it could be i guess. you all are the best, thank you.
I agree with much of what Spyrus said. The vocals need to be more present with all the accompaniment surrounding, backing, and highlighting the lyrics. I like the song. Don't fall into the trap of hiding your voice inside the music. Let it be in the…
oh wow, your right, i wasnt even paying attention to filr size, i thought it streamed. so i'm having a hard time getting the mix right... it sounds great on my computer, but horrible on freinds computers and sterios. i think my soundcard is giving m…
First of all,try reducing your file size a bit, some people may be discouraged ,or unable to download big files, and not listen to the song.
the bass is too "buzzy".I don't really hear what it wants to say,and it covers the other instruments making a…

Hi Kyle,
Nothing wrong with this that can't be improved with a little collaboration and studio time.
Melodyne the vocals (or Autotune) it'll turn out fine in the end.

About Me:
I have little to no knowledge of music theory, i operate srictly by ear, and record ideas to convey the thoughts to others. right now the music i have posted is solo work mixed with various collabs. i am working on a band currently that incorperates 4 part vocals and aggressive metal riffs, based around a syncopated drumming structure. it's just a pet project right now, i hope it will fruit this summer.
Hey! Kyle,
You've got your music up here now so that's great. A friend of mine has that same Boss BR600 recorder and thinks it's great for getting a tune done. Then he posts it to me and expects me to orchestrate it for him. I'm sure there are many song writers here who are doing just what you do. For me there is no pecking order depending on genre. If you can write a tune or song and post it here then you are a composer. The more time you spend on mixing and matching, the more professional an end product you'll have. You deserve to be here as much as anyone else.
BTW thanks for the heads up on 'Solemnity' much appreciated.
This is an excellent place to learn! Don't be afraid to go ahead and post something - nobody has to listen, but among such an open minded group as exists here, people will. Listen to the creativity of these other music addicts - all forms of music are valid. We do the best we can with the tools we have.
