At the age of 10, I was taking guitar lessons for 2 years. In middle school, I played in school orchestra. During the first two years of college, where I studied computer science, I practiced electric guitar a lot (up to 6 hours a day, had a goal to play violin
repertoire on guitar). After that, I got back to finishing my CS studies.
Then there was a pause in my music life (got kids, job change...). In 2010, I decided that I really wanted to learn about music and composing. I bought (an upright) piano and a lot of books and started my journey. Currently, I'm working through A.Schoenberg's "Theory of Harmony" textbook.
In all this time, I've always felt the urge to compose. Of course, with my limited knowledge of music in general and music theory in particular, my "composing" never resulted in producing anything that deserves to be called a composition. I'm trying my best to change this.
