I am a sound engineer student in Hollywood, CA. I am 20 years old and come from a small city in the valley. I am a musician: Oboe, Tenor Sax, and Tuba (believe it or not). I have participated in marching bands, pep bands, orchestras, wind ensembles, jazz bands (big band and dixieland), and concert bands. My dream is to be a composer one day. I have no training in writing music, I just press record and start playing the keyboard. All the music I have written is MIDI.

your piece here, is so playful and dark, you have such a sense for the dramatic, and harmony, even when only one voice is singing...

Couple of years ago I bought a score of 'Starwars'. Whenever I run out of ideas I take that book. reproduce a few bars of it and inspiration is back. And I feel sorry for the poor people who have to play this music in a live situation.

See you later

josellyn, dark story is so daring, and emotionally black.../i hear melody in the quiet strings behind the shocks of the piano... this is so scorish...not anyone can do this...and a hint at melody in the piano,finally...

Hi Josellyn!

Howdy Neighbor! So tell me, what types of music are you writing these days? I keep getting comments about uploading music here at this site to share, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I DO have a few sound bytes (bites?) at my website at www.buddyclements.com I am sooo impressed that you also play the tuba! That rocks! I was a tuba performance major for both my bachelors and Masters degrees. Then after several years of teaching I decided to study film scoring over at nights at UCLA. I had actually ALWAYS wanted to be a composer so I went back to school to study more intensely and ended up completing a doctorate in composition at nearby Claremont Graduate University. Are you attending Citrus College? I hear they have an incredible recording/sound engineering program there! If so, can I ask you about a recording project I would like to do? You might know the guys to talk to... Have a great Sunday!
