About Me (Must include at least one paragraph of biographical information about you as a composer) - blank or minimal answers on this line will cause your request to be rejected. Include a link to your website if you have one.
I am a sound engineer student in Hollywood, CA. I am 20 years old and come from a small city in the valley. I am a musician: Oboe, Tenor Sax, and Tuba (believe it or not). I have participated in marching bands, pep bands, orchestras, wind ensembles, jazz bands (big band and dixieland), and concert bands. My dream is to be a composer one day. I have no training in writing music, I just press record and start playing the keyboard. All the music I have written is MIDI.

Hi Josellyn,

Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you like my music. I like the depth in your music. Alot of dark emotion.

Keep it up!

Hello Joselynn, I am sorry, I never saw that movie. My John Williams favorites (if there are any, because almost everything is so great) are the main theme from 'E.T.' and Yoda's theme from 'Starwars'.
Couple of years ago I bought a score of 'Starwars'. Whenever I run out of ideas I take that book. reproduce a few bars of it and inspiration is back. And I feel sorry for the poor people who have to play this music in a live situation.

See you later

Hi Josellyn, just listening to your music and I try to remember what I wrote when I was your age (which is hard to do, because it's soooo long ago). Conclusion is: You are better.

Best regards from Germany

Hi Josellyn!

Howdy Neighbor! So tell me, what types of music are you writing these days? I keep getting comments about uploading music here at this site to share, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I DO have a few sound bytes (bites?) at my website at I am sooo impressed that you also play the tuba! That rocks! I was a tuba performance major for both my bachelors and Masters degrees. Then after several years of teaching I decided to study film scoring over at nights at UCLA. I had actually ALWAYS wanted to be a composer so I went back to school to study more intensely and ended up completing a doctorate in composition at nearby Claremont Graduate University. Are you attending Citrus College? I hear they have an incredible recording/sound engineering program there! If so, can I ask you about a recording project I would like to do? You might know the guys to talk to... Have a great Sunday!

Hi Josellyn!

I'm just getting started, too! I've not created any music for film. BUT, each audio file uploaded to my website could be considered as "bait" for landing such a "whale" of a project! Keep at it, Josellyn. I'm four years from 60 and loving each and every minute of each and every day spent composing something new and exciting!
