Jonas Aras began playing music at the age of 5. He started playing professionally at the age of 15. He currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. Jonas began studying music at the age of seven, playing both classical and jazz. He later attended Cal State University Northridge and studied with Terry Trotter, Alan Pasqua, Brad Mehldau, Bill Cunliffe and bebop legend Barry Harris and composition studies with the legendary David Blumberg. In addition to being a sought after pianist and teacher, Jonas is also an accomplished jazz accordionist. Jonas owns and operates Audio Recording and Services, a studio specializing in audio mastering and recording small acoustic ensembles . His credits include composing for Paramount Digital Entertainment and HGTV.
