Hello Chris,
I 'd like to join this project and if still available I take Track 11 from Bb 120 To F 90.
A few questions concerning the audio file:
Should there be some empty space in the beginning and the end?
Will there be an overall mastering a…
If one already exists elsewhere, I'd think you`ll maybe find one only in the US. But you might like to try Studio Music in UK - they handle a great deal of US publishers, i.e. Hal Leonard etc. Web Site: www.studio-music.co.uk

Hi there,
every 2 years I play some shows with a rock band and the local high school orchestra and it is my job to orchestrate pop and rock songs and arrange classical pieces for the rock band. Next year I will suggest to play Zappa's "Strictly Gen…
Hi ladies,
I am a German rock musician, who sometimes gets into composing sort of classical music. So I would like to try to create something for you. But there is something I need to know. What kind of sax do you prefer ?
Best regards
Jochen
Jan,
when I started sequenzing I also never quantized. I said to myself:' OK, you are a live musician so record your music live.'
I thought that the result was ok. One time I asked a friend of mine to play some guitar to my sequenzes, and he tried…
James,
thanks for your feedback. Probably I will post this midi editing thing next week. And the slow speaking instruments are a heavy problem. I only own Miroslav Philharmonik, and in this library there are string sounds that last long but start s…
Ray,
English is not my native language. Nevertheless usually I understand what people try to tell me, but here I do not have the faintest idea what you mean. It would be kind if you could post your reply again using words I understand. Thank you
I can't play keyboards for shit. I never expect anything but a disaster when I play keyboards into the key editor. (HOWEVER... go to my profile and listen to the "clavinet work" on Ray Dio. If you dig FZ you'll prob'ly dig this.) I am better at the…
Jochen ... I'd be happy to discuss MIDI editing on another post ...
In the meantime, you may consider at least adding randomisation to your quantize settings (like 4-8 ticks).
You should also consider adding a timing offset to the slow speaking in…
Hello Mike,. thank you for your feedback. OK, quantization means to tell the sequenzer:' I just played a bunch of 1/8 notes, but not very precisely. Put them where they belong.' And the sequenzer does. To my opinion in an orchestral piece with twent…
FUNNY cause it was playing at 2:08 right when I read about your FZ fanatism... and that part is SOOOO FRANK! I had to rewind it to make sure haha
I also work from the frank zappa school of rhythmic perfection. My band mates hate how I yell at them…

About Me:
Hi there, I am writing music for 35 years now, most of the time as a hobby. From 2005 until 2008 I tried to make a living out of this. Although I sold a few of my pop songs I failed...sigh. Now, while I am trying to get a job as a bookkeeper or a software developer, I spend my time recording the orchestral music I have written over the years with some VST-Instruments. I would be glad to listen to your comments on these little pieces of music. Most of them are heavily influenced by John Williams (you know, the guy who did all the music for Spielberg and Lucas). Other ideas are stolen from my master Frank Zappa.
haha thank you Jochen! I understand you like John Williams, his music is an inspiration for me as well. Which is your favorite piece? My favorite is from Presumed Innocent, the end credits. I just love the sound of the piano with strings! As you probably heard in my music haha.
Jochen, 'snow' is a very daring piece of music, i love the discordant sound, and the move into a touch of jazziness, but mainly the driving forward content, and controlled anger.../ it's avant garde without being embarrassed about it...
how music such as this is ever created, is a tribute to persons like yourself, going over the top and remaining original...
the darkest night/ very lyrical, love to the chord changes... so theatrical.. as in a stage
"Maybe tomorrow": an amazing fusion of a lot of influences I estimate(d) myself as these classsical picture musics, as - oh yes: I was addicted as well... - Zappas symphonics & not at least: Klaus Schulze... Thanks for adding, "Neighbor". PETER. (from Marburg)
I don't think I ever answered you back. I'm currently working on some instrumentals. I plan to send them to music libraries for consideration. I have the piano parts to 2 of 8. So it'll be a while before I post them here. I'll probably post them in the Music Dissection forum.
Hi Jochen, welcome to the forum.
writing music for 35 years? You must be nearly as old as me :)
Making a living out of music was never easy and things haven't changed now.
As long as you enjoy writing, it is worthwhile for your soul.
Interesting piece, Maybe Tomorrow. Some interesting chord progressions.
I see that you like Art Rock. Within the past year I've been familiarizing myself with similar genres, particularly progressive metal (such as Dream Theatre). There is much to learn from some of these wonderful musicians.
