New Film Score Piece- Prepare of Space Launch

Hello all,I have written a new piece that I'm pretty jazzed about. I'm not too sure about the end though.. please take a listen and tell me if you think it fits with the rest of the song. Or anything else that stands out (in a bad way) or just sounds odd in there.I was envisioning a hurried escape and a tense launch into space... like a disney movie or something set in space. Thanks a lot!Jeremiah EdwardSee More

Breaking the Ostinato habit- Help with compostitoin

Hello,As the title states, I always seem to fall in with the routine of laying down an ostinato in every song as a means to convey it to the next phrase or as a static line to play around or as a way to show tension or building intensity. While ok for a couple of pieces, I have developed a nasty habit of relying on them.. they are sort of a plan "B"  that has become a plan "A".My question: can anyone suggest some other method for keeping a song moving or building excitement. Any rhythmic or…See More

There are two outputs for monitors on the back: One is ADC which I have hooked to a 17" apple monitor.. the other is DVI which I have hooked to a 23" Dell monitorIs there any way to add a 3rd monitor to this set up? New Underscore Composition for Film

Hello all,So, I have gotten some great advice from this forum on my first post.  I'm taking the advice given and going for a smaller sound in my compositions. This one starts out slow and mysterious... then picks up with xylophone and staccato woodwind. I was trying to recreate the sound I hear on various shows out there today. People sneaking around and that sort of thing. Let me know if I've gotten close to that feel at all....Thanks!Jeremiah EdwardSee More

New composition for Film

Hello everyone, This is my first post to this forum.  I'm an aspiring home composer working with East West sound libraries and a computer.  I have been doing this for about 8 months now and feel as though I'm progressing well, but it's always nice to get outside criticism and suggestions to prevent you from doing the same old thing over and over again. So, please take a listen to the Mp3 that I have attached below. Looking for your general thoughts on the piece. Did you like it? Did you hate it?…See More
