NO LOCATION

What happens when you get to where you're going with a delivery, once you're where you think you're supposed to be, and you realize that there is no such place? I mean, you don't want to be left holding the bag, you want to be compensated for all the trouble it took to get the thing there, on time, in such a hurry. After all, it's not your fault there is no such place.

Fortunately there is a convention in place for just such an occasion. You can have, at your ready, a label for that package, once it happens to you enough times, and why not.

You just mark it N/L, for No Location.

All those times the package didn't get to you, in the past?

Not our fault.

In fact, we weren't even employed by the service at that time.

You can look it up. We were otherwise engaged. Not even in the vicinity.
If we were, you better believe we had a magic marker to mark that sucker right:
No Location.

Undeliverable. You can't get there from here. No es possible baby.

All this has changed, now.

With the new Tigress and the U-Fraidees album aptly titled No Location.

"New music". You've heard that before? You say you've been misled in the past.
Sure you have. "Alternative Rock"...
When in fact it's just more of the same old shit, isn't it. With a new haircut and some new wrinkle in the fashion accessories.

But here, we are giving you an alternative, some audio entertainment which you just might find does deliver the goods. And better late than never!

And we're sure it wasn't your fault the map was wrong in the past...

As a token of it not being anybody's fault anymore, we offer you this amazing new product, at the LOW LOW INTRODUCTORY PRICE OF...

About Me:
I have some history in a sort of underground milieu... 'free associations' et al.

I am a composer, but you should know that I don't come to you from the academy. I'm self-taught.

This is a band sound, but a very restless band it would be. A very multi-varied approach is the Tigress sound. Some of it isn't polite.

The modus operandi: it can be a composition arisen from a wholly improvisational basis, or, if there is a plan it likes to be from the way a lyric scans against a pulse, or that lyric = a tune. In the case of the more rock-oriented music, that is. Mostly instrumental music, sometimes an audience needs the verbal or visual cues, so we'll supply that as well, to get it heard.

Are you running a x64 system as I do. Trilogy will not run on Cubase x64 so this cue was done in 32bit. Yes I'm also looking forward to the Trillion update.
I think Eric said around October.

Jan,

Staying clear of the endless drivel in discussion about genre, shape, form, theory, mathematics and on and on......................................................

I think "Ray Dio 3 through 6" is a truly amazing piece of "art".

Thanks for sharing.

Sincerely

by analogy:

{A critic who is engaged in the act of what she is talking or writing about, on a regular basis, has pretty much earned the right to publishing a strong opinion or editorial regarding that activity, IME. On the other hand, if one has never done, or eschews to do, it's really not valid to pretend to 'know'; it doesn't matter if one has all the published information in the world about how something is built. If one has never had to make something from a blueprint, or ever discussed the blueprint i… Continue

Critics

What an amazing thing is a self-appointed critic. A critic of music, of art. Words about things which transcend words, about things which the whole reason to do them is that words are inadequate. Words about music, can be entertaining a pastime, you know.

It doesn't mean squat to talk about it. Words about music is like soccer about painting or something.
A blog, at least I am writing about a process, sort of a diary, I don't take pictures of many things, I don't write a lot about what I do, I… Continue

remixing older stuff

I made some demos of the ideas I had the last time I had a place to work, but on a really slow computer for the task. and with the result of a lot of deficiencies even for demos.

but people seemed to go for a lot of it, I think the music is sound.

So, I'm remixing, and just rearranging and even reworking most of it. there are a couple things where there were no deficiencies in the tracks and I managed to have them mastered, but that's about 10% of what I had.

One thing is the title sequence f… Continue
