East West Symphonic Orchestra Platinum Plus

HiI have just joined the forum.  I am a composer - mainly classical / full orchestral. Has anyone out there purchased and used EWQLSOPP. I ahve just purchased it and heck what an installation that was - very difficult and 28 discs to load with a total of 194GB of samples.I have it fully installed but I am having immediate trouble loading and playing library sound samples.i am happy to share my issue in depth if anyone out there has the software and is interested to try and help me.JamesSee More

About Me (Must include biographical information about you as a composer):
I am 61 years, played piano for many years and started composing seriously (as a hobby really) when I retired 4 years ago. I own Cubase Sudio 5 and East West Symphonic orch PP. I compose mainly for full orchestra. My 2 favourite composers are Rachmaninoff and John Williams (yeah the Star Wars guy)

I'll be honest, and hope I dont disappoint you Dennis but I am not sure how the work came together.  It took me 3 years to finish (i had 18 months off in the middle practicing piano).  Regarding the Cadenzas, when I hear it now I am still quite surprised mysef how i did it.  So I cannot offer advice on structuring Cadenzas other than to say, if I have a solid harmonic vein going through the music, then the cadenza just seems to happen.

I can say that I love how Rachmininoff plays melody (and harmony) "between" the notes.  He seems to thread the needle and goes even deeper when the harmony already is quite complete
