Hi James,

I keep forgetting to switch skype on :) My teething troubles with my new pc have settled down a little so I have some time to address others and their questions. Audio Cards? how much do you want to spend because more buys you more. If I buy a new one it'll probably be RME.....why? Because the drivers are better than most meaning, less dropouts, latency etc.

Now that may not be something you have or will come across depending on the speed of your cpu and size of ram in hardware terms and the size of your template in software sample library terms. Without seeing or you listing the spec of the system you have, it is difficult to give an educated reference.

I'm regularly in the Coatbridge area and in fact regularly in many areas of Scotland. My day job has me also going to Northern Ireland from time to time and even to England :)
Home is in my music room having a view of the castle shown in one of my photos above.
Hint - it isn't Edinburgh and it also boasts a monument celebrating Mel Gibson :)

James,

I've replied by PM on the music player issue.

Reading above I see we are both of the same age and began composing at a similar time of life and for the same reason. My main weapon has been guitar rather than piano since my youth but our taste in composers match although I would include Morricone.
