About Me:
I am a writer and composer from the UK. I started playing the piano when I was 14 and not long after started to compose my own music. I studied music at Exeter University but dropped out after a year. Since then I have done a lot of library music in a variety of different genre's - primarily down-tempo/trip-hop - which I also release under my pseudonym The Legendary Danny K. Over the past few years however I have returned to writing orchestral music, including the music to my first original OST currently in production - and I have become an associate member of PRS and a member of BASCA. I am keen and passionate about being an independent musician and the odd empowerment the internet has offered the artist in the digital age.
I like 'Splitsound'. It's very modern and like the sunrise; fresh and full of anticipation for the day but equally can be savored in itself.
Nice choice of instruments!
Your work sounds great here, both in composition and production.
A level in expertise of which most should aspire if they want to be professional composers in a commercial world.

reflections...jack this is lovely, a bit asian, i love that, and the growing intensity....and dark deep and simple melodie.../ i would have been proud to write something so alluring... i really can't get over how well produced the sound is..
thank you for the nymanesque comment, it seems after he composed
'the heart asks pleasure' he forever owns the aminor chord (add 9th)...
i hope in 'bord de la mer' you might have noticed each time i come back to the a minor chord, it's from a different place, first dminor, a major, even emajor and eminor...
i love nyman's obscure 'zinc piano' and 'enemy zero, with the piece 'love', and the cook, thief and wife music...
hey, Jack.. I enjoyed this melody of yours as well
I almost exclusively write more "busily" than this.. As Emm said.. it works..
E, A, F, A for the main theme and variations of that... for whatever reason... it works.. well done. :) BTW, where i...
Jack, I think this suite is emotional and meaningful. I can feel sadness and a motion of something pushing on.
Whilst I wouldn't put a ripping guitar solo over it, I think a sparce but harsh cello voice with simple phrasing would add to it.
Hi Mike - thanks for the feedback. Quite a lot for me to take on board there. I suppose as film music is something I would like to do maybe it coming across too much. Having said that I wrote these pieces as melodically driven pieces and am slight...
very hypnotic. almost perfect for background movie music. or for backing tracks for a ripping guitar solo.
nice rythems and sonic textures. I think it makes me want to play a guitar solo because there is not much for melody lines. the melody lines...

I'm not so sure - I think this organic process can be quite useful to both parties. That way you can score out a couple of ideas in different directions and during the filming process use editing software to take a look and see how some of your id...
Oh, you have 2 more movements. Cool! The 4th adds a bit of variety which is nice. It's still set in the same rhythmic frame but with different textures and some melodies. It's cool!
Like Mike said, it's like walking along endlessly with the scene...
Hey there,
listened to your pieces just then not realising you posted this a month ago! I just joined this group today... I hope you don't mind late feedback!
I like the orchestration. I think it works well. I also like the constant rhythmic pulse...
ohhh I enjoy the added melody the little hints of it at least from the vibes and how you have taken that motif and rework it subtly around the score.
for a second there I thought I heard woodwinds but it was the strings.. I like how your trudging ...

Happy Birthday and thanks for introducing me to CF.
Great stuff. LOVE the Waltz and Overture! Reminds me of Elfman. I'm very impressed!
