Thanks Adrian, much appreciated. It is indeed the EW solo violin straight out of Finale which would benefit from a bit of tweaking. Having used the solo violin rather a lot in the upper registry, I dropped it an octave for the entry just before 2.20…
I enjoyed listening. It has a poise and dignity that reminded me of something by Elgar. I'd like to hear it live as some of the samples don't quite do it justice (like the East West violin I presume).

My music is particularly influenced by the English cathedral choral tradition and by the English school of composers, many of whom were involved in that tradition during the twentieth century and earlier. A number of my contemporaries have commented on the Celtic influences that creep into my music. This must have something to do with an earlier interest in playing guitar and drawing inspiration from the wonderful and expansive landscapes that surround me here on Dartmoor and in the west country.
