"Congrats on the reverb. A little late I know since it is now May 19.  This is a great reverb!"

Fabio Biolcati replied to Jörfi Terríson's discussion Symphony (compliments of quarantine)
"True musical content goes beyond the quality of the rendering, nevertheless a good rendition (being it live or sequenced) definitely helps its enjoyment. I was recently listening to a (good) performance from an established label: it was so poorly…"

Fabio Biolcati replied to Jörfi Terríson's discussion Symphony (compliments of quarantine)
"Wish I was allowed to put a "like" every time I listen to this symphony, Jörfi. And it's much, much better listening to it in its whole. Such an impressive work, you really know the craft of musical composition — not bad…"

Fabio Biolcati replied to Gav Brown's discussion Digital Piano Questions
"I suggest to consider the Casio PX-S3000 (or its little brother, the S1000, if you don't need plenty of variation in piano tones). Don't be fooled by the brand: the action is really good and it sports triple pedal."

Fabio Biolcati replied to Sassyfrood's discussion Piano Chamberto in Eb Major
"That’s brilliant, Dan. May ask you more about your rendering tools?"

Fabio Biolcati replied to Francois Jenno's discussion Nocturne for Piano and Flute
"Very beautiful. Can’t wait to listen to the completed work. Other than the already mentioned breathing spots, I suggest you to find room for the piano to take the stage here and there, eg. some theme swapping, thus developing some dialogue…"

Fabio Biolcati replied to Ali Riza SARAL's discussion Piece for Brass and Strings - 3rd movement - Frames 3min
"Hi Ali. Glad my reply was useful to you. Wetness refers to the amount of reverb you put in. Every decent reverb plugin has a dial or even a slider to tweak it.0% is totally dry, no reverb at all, just the sound of the instruments. As you increase…"

Fabio Biolcati replied to Ali Riza SARAL's discussion Piece for Brass and Strings - 3rd movement - Frames 3min
"Really interesting work. Not a Cakewalk user, but you can try adding empty midi/audio items at the end of your tracks for extra silence.Check rendering options, maybe you are allowed to add some amount of it from there (at least, this is the way…"

6 minipreludes for organ V.

"Dear Mr Kopecky, I'm nailed by your Minipreludes for organ. Would you mind to post them all together, allowing a more consistent listening, instead than in your personal page? I found them only by chance and think they deserve a broader…"

Fabio Biolcati replied to Heikki Ruonaniemi's discussion Duntames
"Hi Heikki. Interesting work. I'm not much into concepts and analysis. Let me say that it certainly conveys some emotional intricacy, but can't figure why polydiatonism should not include the idea of rest and differentiation in…"

Fabio Biolcati replied to Francois Jenno's discussion Chanson d'Automne
"Hire someone, it deserves it: get in touch with a teacher, ask if some pupil is interested in overdubbing his/her voice to the piano part. I also see people offer this kind of service over the internet. Best"

Fabio Biolcati replied to Francois Jenno's discussion Chanson d'Automne
"Hi Francois. You must absolutely find a singer for this. The clarinet version is an interesting piece per se, but it's just a blueprint compared to the vocal setting you wrote for. Best"

Fabio Biolcati replied to jacob ticli's discussion New Music for critique
"Well done Jacob.  The drama is back. Maybe now is too overall wet: let us hear a bit more of the space you recorded it into."

Fabio Biolcati replied to Gabriele's discussion "Entanglements", for Cello Solo
"Hi Gabriele. Great work. Beautiful composition. The "recording" is stellar: really like the way the "room" reacts to the instrument (maybe a little bit more less wet would be better) Incidentally, my first approach to virtual…"
