Franz Liszt is a composer which, I feel, doesn't have the appreciation he deserves on this forum. Thus, I wanted to start a discussion with other people, about Franz Liszts place in musical…Continue

Toccata-esk organ piece

Started this discussion. Last reply by Fabian Frost Jun 12, 2017. 5 Replies

This is a piece I composed this spring. I would classify it as a Toccata-esk organ piece, however when I wrote it I didn't intend for it to be a Toccata. I don't really know how to categorise this…Continue

I'm an amateur composer, that mostly composes without the use of sheets (That just means I'd rather learn the piece by heart than write everything down, it's time consuming really).

I play all my compositions myself and don't use any computer programs to make my music, I'd love to start with that sometime. I compose music for the organ and the piano and record this music semi-professionally.

My music composing style is very different each time, I never clinch to one specific composing style. My motto is: "Don't write melodies that are driven by the chords, let the chords be driven by the melody"
