Very captivating piece. I would agree with Troy. The music is minimalist in nature. Nice.

Emma-Jane, I love it! It reminds me of Glass's score in "The Hours." Minimalist and splendid!

Emma-jane - Have listened to Prohibido and really liked it. Great use of the strings-thought they were real, nice chordal changes to keep up the interest and just a really nice feeling overall. Hope you can share more music with us all soon!

HI Emma-Jane, I am listening to Prohibido. I am curious if there is a story behind this song? The sad, pensive sense of loss really comes across for me -- like musical tears. Very beautiful, E-J.

Warm regards,
Karen

About Me:
I'm originally a classical guitarist, but have played guitar, bass and double bass in pop bands, big bands, jazz ensembles and orchestras since I was about 12.

That was also about the time I got together my first 'studio' - i.e. a spare bedroom full of various instruments and a Fostex 4 track recorder!

I progressed to an Atari ST in the early 90s, and now have a PC based set-up running Sonar 5PE. Despite a creative dry spell of late, I'd love to do this for a living (I currently work in IT as an SAP programmer / project manager), so have enrolled on the Music for the Media diploma.

I also play guitar in an acoustic duo called 'Jaxson M' - www.myspace.com/jaxsonm - and a tribute band (www.myspace.com/jimilovefunk), although my first love is jazz and I'm keen to get back into playing bass in some jazz ensembles in the near future.

Gear List:
PC running Sonar 5PE with various plug-ins including NI Kontakt, Stylus RMX, Trilogy.

Hardware: Korg Triton, MicroKorg, Novation KS1, Clavia Nord Lead, Novation Nova, Novation Drum Station, Yamaha 16 channel mixer, Rode NT1 mic, Fostex monitors.

Guitars: Fender Strat, Fender Telecaster (in paisley pink! :-) ), Ramirez classical guitar, Epiphone Dot 335, bass and fretless basses, Resonator guitar, lapsteel guitar, plus various autoharps, bongos, didgeridoos and whatnot...
