Hi Folks, Just joined the site and as an amateur I think this could be a really useful forum for me. I won't get into the fine details but I am a self taught amateur composer and play music in my sp…

This is a very interesting piece Conor. I agree with Adrian, modulating from g minor to maybe something else. An example would be that since g minor is the relative minor of B flat major you could modulate to that and find a place in the score to al…

I do like it. Yes, chordsequences are important. Nothing wrong with the one here, although it is often used. Just a quicklisten so I will only say I did most enjoy the right hand of the piano. Nice production, sounds like (if you recorded, not ente…

Nice sound production in this recording. I think that the piece is reasonable in itself in the context of incidental music in a film. Why it doesn't make more of an impact is because the chord sequence is too predictable for the more seasoned liste…

Connor, I've been composing for about 5 years now.
I have a Mac G4 and the 2 apps I use are Melody Assistant, which is a notation program, and logic express for mixing.

Hello Connor. I'm also new here and like you have no formal training.
You have a good ear, your music is well done.

Hi Connor, Welcome. I am new myself, and even more amateur than you, so not to worry, you are not alone.

I am really liking what I hear here. St. Albert was very beautiful. Well done.

About Me:
I am 26 years old from Ireland, currently working as a software engineer in Dublin.

I am a keen amateur composer and have been recording and playing music on my keyboard since I was about 15. I have no formal training in music I am self taught and I personally don't feel it has been a huge obstacle for me. I enjoy my music, it sounds good to me and at the end of the day that's what's most important.

Apart from music I love sport, I play soccer, gaelic football, tennis and golf and don't mind the odd jog either. I love learning about the world, especially the ocean and its wildlife and it has inspired a lot of my music. I am a also keen photographer and enjoy web development in my spare time.
