This is a short piece based on the idea of giving each of the instruments a set of intervals in an attempt to establish them as different "characters". The violin has all 3rds, 6ths, 4ths and 5ths while the bass clarinet has all 2nds, 7ths and tritones. When pitched, the percussion uses all intervals. Hi all, my name is Chris and I'm currently a music student looking to hopefully some day make the step up to professional composer. I would say that my main influences are Lutoslawski, Ligeti, Carter, Berg and Webern. Anyway, here is a string quartet I recently wrote.
