In professional life I'm a highschool teacher History, Arts and Fashion Design. I live in Antwerp, Belgium. From time to time I retire for a week or more to my house in eastern France: an isolated spot in nature, in order to write, paint
or... compose :-)

I love minimalist modern classical music, but also many baroque and romantic composers. I have a particularly soft spot for Glass and Shostakovich -the only one of the expressionists.

All my music that can be heard here and elsewhere online is purely computer. This is so for a variety of reasons:
- I never received a musical training; what I know of music I learned myself.
- I do not play any instruments myself.
- All music I compose (some initially on paper) is finalised and performed on computer.

My 31-piece "Suite de clavecin", op.23 - for harpsichord solo.

Posted on August 17, 2012 at 4:23pm 1 Comment

Each summer I retire to my old countryhouse in les Vosges, in eastern France. This year I spent 6 weeks virtually alone on the mountain where my house overlooks de valley. It is, each time over and over again, a time of creative and hard work - in a sense.

This time was no different and the day I arrived - July 7th - I began immediately writing solos for harpsichord. It was as planned, because during May and June, I had intensively studied harpsichord suites by Jaqcues Duphly…

Symphony nr.1 op.7 (2009-2012)

Posted on May 6, 2012 at 12:00pm 0 Comments

It was October 2009 when I began working on the first movement of this symphony. The other parts were roughly sketched in the following weeks and months. Early 2010 I was able to set out the entire structure of the symphony, based on the material I had by that time. From the early days of this work, it was clear to me its layout would be unconventional, simply because the whole symphony would be composed of not less than 7 distinct movements.…

New Here "First Entry" -Canaeus

Hi peeps,

I'm totally new here, so I thought it would be nice to say hello this way.

I never received any musical training. I did some musical experiments around the age of 16-18, but never got far on my own.

For years I have been solely creative in graphics, painting, writing (text). It was not until early 2008 I rediscovered the possibilities of musical 'experiments' through the use of my computer. So there it was again, that idea, the notion…

Hi Jorgi: I just stumbled upon your music and wanted to let you know I thoroughly enjoy it. It has rich textures and has a quality that makes you feel something is lurking around the corner. Nicely done!

I also was amused by your profile photo - I assume it's your picture "photoshopped" into a background painting - nice touch.
