Question - How to prepare a score for submission...

I never took any composition classes, so I missed guidelines on preparing a score (hard-copy, printed) for submission to contests, publishers, whatever. My pieces look good in  pdf files and they print out nicely on 8x11 inch sheets of paper. What is the best way to bind these pages?  Do you take your scores to a pro print shop or do you just put them through a 3 hole punch and put them in a paper folder ?   Is 8x11 inch pages okay, or should I put them on larger sizes of paper, like ???Is this…See More

I play with an amateur orchestra, they asked me to arrange "True Colors" by Cindy Lauper.  Not the best subject for string orchestra, but I'm happy with results.  We've rehearsed it twice, I simplified it a bit, we will perform it sometime in June!  I will upload an mp3 in a few minutes.
