Hello my friends , during this winter (in Sweden) when my neurological disease became worse ,and I don´t have the strenght to learn more about composition , orchestration , elecreoacoustic technique etc. I had explored sounds thru my ears . The latest piece is to the memory of Joseph Brodsky , whom I admire very much , both as an author and his personality . If anyone want to share their experience about the piece , it would be interesting to read . You can find the piece on my page ( it…

Raymond Kemp said… Yes I see their least expensive unit is still quite expensive. Well, what I notice since changing to RME here is the odd spike here and there across the frequency range needing tamed that just didn't show up on cheaper hardware. Some think a flattering sound from an audio interface must be a good thing completely ignoring the fact that when we mix it must be a recording that works on every type of playback system. The only way to control that is by using the most detailed sound system to start with.

I'm new in this society. I saw your favorite composers. Great selection! Feldman is also one of my very top favorite composers. I'll be following your musical journey!
Pasquale Citera said… Hello Caj. There are many software you use.
Depends which intervention you are interested in composition.
I use primarily Max MSP, Csound and Logic.

Andrew Gleibman said… Hello Caj, I have listened to your "Torso". Highly emotional, especially the dynamics at 8"-10". You make very strong contrasts in many aspects: in time development (form and rhyrhm contrasts), in vertical axis, and in voices which are very dramatic. I am very impressed by this piece!

Andrew Gleibman said… Hello Caj,
Although mathematics is my profession, I never studied microintervals and am pessimistic about the usage of something beyond a tempered chromatic scale. While listening to experiments in this field, I subconsciously simplify the sounds towards the nearest notes of tempered scale. What I know is that a tempered scale only approximates harmonics and is based on some simple calculation with logarithms and not applies the harmonics directly.
Try to google "Natural Harmonics"; also

BTW (concerning stealing passwords), never enter "inviting" services that automatically send invitations from people you know, and never never provide your passwords to any automatic services at all. If you recieve some invitation to join something, make sure it is sent personally by the people you know, and not by a robot "from behalf" of that people.
Andrew Gleibman said… Caj, proceed with your beautiful music and do not pay much emotions to Internet hooligans who steal email accounts. Keep several copies of your important info (especially music scores) in safe places not connected to Internet, and in your Internet accounts apply strong passwords (6-10 or more symbols, including digits and non-letter characters). Be well!
