If you have any recommendations on how I could improve this piece, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm feeling kinda stuck at this point. Maybe it's done? It's meant to be looped. Would it drive you crazy…Continue

"Austin, I really like the opening through the first melody section. Then it starts to loose steam. Consider adding percussion before the melodies come in the second time. Then add more stuff before the third round. keep going a few more rounds. Then…"

Would it drive you crazy if it kept playing over and over again? Thanks!Created with Komplete10 in Renoise. Anybody else on here use a tracker? See More

"Hey! I think I'd kinda just echo the critiques these others gave. I do want to say though that I really enjoyed the transition at about 2:30. Also that I like the softness the instruments have throughout the piece, but wish that at that moment…"

"Austin, Here is the first two measures of you piece(repeated) to show you what I mean. I'm not saying you should do this, it's just to get the juices flowing. You also wouldn't start out this way. You might start with just the…"

"Austin, The second version is much better as far as sound quality and compositional ideas go. But it lacks some of the urgency and drive of the first version. The second version does not give me the picture of a village going to war. So, what…"

"@ Blake Thanks so much for your input. It's very helpful. I'll do just what you recommend... i want to keep a real primal sound to it so hopefully I ca find a way to do that with the addition of an orchestra... i'll see what i come up…"

"My main thought instantly was that I think you should balance the syncopation. Maybe a recurring quarter and an eighth rest followed by an eighth and quarter drum strike along with something that pulses on the downbeats or the first downbeat of…"

"Austin, Yup, I got the repeat, and I understand that's how game music needs to work. Don't fret about a score, I suspected you were working with a DAW. Trying to create one is not worth the headaches. But if you are in to pain (you are a…"

"Hey, Austin, Thanks for posting this. I really like the two main themes. As a game background it might work as is, but I think it could use (as you say) more variation. Just how do you do that? The problem might be that you started out with full…"
